Tofu Records, who releases select japanese music, has just put out it's fourth volume of a best of japanese music CD... and I just received it in the mail (very promptly with great prices to boot) along with an awesome Tofu Records t-shirt. I'm listening to the CD right at this very moment and it is absolutely amazing.

Just recently found out about this. Even though I'm only a softmore in high school they still let me in! Free screening every Thursday for 3 hours and a drawing club kind of thing for 2 hours on Tuesday. UCLA Anime Club looks like it will make my week all the more enjoyable.

I was born and raised in L.A. so there was japanese culture all around me if I were to simply look for it, and armed with the internet and a (highly superior) Mac, there were even more ways to come to the realization that going to Japan was my dream.
